Aztec Thrush
Aztec Thrush feeding on Choke Cherries in Madera Canyon. Up to nine of these rare (to the united States) birds have come up from Mexico to partake of our fruit tree berries since July 25. They will probably stay until all the ripe berries are eaten and then will move on, probably not farther north, but around the sky islands, eventually retiring to the pine forests of the Sierra Madre to the south.
