To reach the entrance to the proposed Cielo Madera Estates development, take exit 63 (Continental Road) from I-19 and turn east. Go through a traffic signal and then across the Santa Cruz River to a four-way stop. Turn right on to Whitehouse Canyon Road, cross the railroad tracks, and continue up the hill past the Continental School (slow down during school hours) towards Madera Canyon. You will encounter two "S" curves and then a sharp bend to the right. A dirt road continues straight to Rt. 83 over Box Canyon. Stay on the pavement (Madera Canyon Road) and cross three one-lane bridges and continue up the hill on a straight road. At about mile marker 9 is a dirt road to the right with a metal mail box on the right of the turnoff. Continue another one-half mile and turn right on the new paved road. This is the entrance to the Cielo property. The road crosses a wash and terminates at a gate and circular turn around. The property extends approximately two miles west of your location and about one half mile to the north and one half mile to the south. If you continue south up Madera Canyon Road you will come to another dirt road on the right in about one half mile and then after making a few left and right jogs, enter Madera Canyon at Proctor. The Visitor Information Station to the right (see sign) is open on weekends but there are brochures and information beside the station if it is closed.
