Visitor Information Station
An educational arm
of the Friends of Madera Canyon, the Visitor Information Station
volunteers serve as greeters who provide information regarding
facilities and safety and direct visitors to those features
of the canyon that best fulfill their needs. These dedicated
men and women act as a conduit between our visitors and the
US Forest Service.
At
the Information Station, that neat little building you reach
after detouring right at the sign off the main road that leads
to the Proctor Parking area, volunteers welcome visitors in
a friendly way. Station volunteers...
- •answer questions about the Canyon
- •provide literature about the canyon
and other important facts
- •act as a link to US Forest Service
personnel
All
this happens almost every weekend from 10 am to
4 pm. If you are
interested in becoming a Visitor Information Station volunteer, please send
us an e-mail at info@friendsofmaderacanyon.org.
