Fund raiser for defenders of madera canyon

On Friday March 30, 2007 starting at 7:00 PM at the UMC Duval Auditorium in Tucson there will be a fundraiser hosted by The Friends of Madera Canyon and the Defenders of Madera Canyon to stop the construction of 280 home sites at the mouth of Madera Canyon . The entrance fee is $20.00 of which all the proceeds will go to The Defenders of Madera Canyon. This money will help with the professional fees needed to fight this issue.  
 
A photographic presentation will be given by two of the Tucson area's top professional nature photographers Jack Dykinga and Tom Vezo followed by a talk by birding extraordinaire Kenn Kaufman. Kenn was gracious enough to fly in from Ohio for this event because he feels it's
vitally important to save this critical habitat. There will be a raffle and silent auction of some photographic prints, books, and other items following the presentations.
