Nature Walk above Kent Spring Center 

Saturday, November 24, 2007 9:00 AM- 1:00 PM  

Meet at Amphitheater Parking area at 9:00 AM sharp; we will then drive up and park at Kent Spring Center. (Kent Spring Road has been graded!!)  

Come up to the canyon for some fall color and walk off a little of that Thanksgiving Turkey! We will explore the forest above Kent Spring Center, walking up the lower portion of the Sylvester Spring/Kent Spring trail. Plan to do some birding and check out some interesting plants and fall color in a scenic section of the canyon. There is also one of the higher waterfalls if the creek is still running. Note: we will probably not hike as high as Sylvester Spring.

 

Moderate hike- portions of the trail are uphill and the terrain is uneven. We will do a little off trail hiking! Weather could be cool so bring extra layers, water, snacks, binocs. Walking stick recommended.
