New and prospective member social

The annual New and Prospective Member Social will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2008 beginning at 10:00 am at the Proctor ramada in Madera Canyon. If you stay for the short nature hike, we will be finished by around noon. The social is open to current members and anyone interested in learning about and joining the Friends of Madera Canyon. Refreshments will be provided. Speakers from the Forest Service and the Friends of Madera Canyon will give short presentations. Following the speakers a short interpretative hike will be offered to any who wish to participate by Doug Moore (Education Director).

Remember to bring and display your Golden Age or America the Beautiful Pass on the vehicle dashboard as otherwise there is a parking fee in the Canyon of $5.
